Organizers of the 13th Abuja International Housing Show has stated that this year’s show will feature a special session for journalists covering the housing development, finance and construction sector in Nigeria.
This move is in a bid to strengthen the relationship between the media and the sector and to also educate journalists on how best they can contribute to the growth of the sector through credible reporting and investigation.
According to the organizers, there ought to be a unanimous level of coverage by the media in the sector in order to ensure collaborative working and spread of credible information on the challenges and progress in the sector.
‘’The session will expose journalists to the best practises and additional information that will make them more equipped for the critical job of reporting happenings in housing development, housing finance and construction. We shall bring top media experts from Nigeria and beyond to anchor this session in order to share experience and knowledge in the sector,’’ said Festus Adebayo, the Show’s Convener.
Adebayo also said the session will be an opportunity for journalists to network with industry stakeholders and their own media colleagues that will be coming from different countries.
This year’s Show will feature at least 40, 000 participants, over 400 exhibitors, 20 speakers and at least 15 countries.
