The Managing Director, Family Homes Funds, Mr Femi Adewole, said Family Homes Funds will continue to support and partner with the Nigeria Skills Expo/Construction Artisans Awards, especially in the area of job creation for artisans in the Construction industry.
He stated this while speaking to Housing News, at the closing ceremony of the Construction Artisans Awards 2019.
He said ‘’our specific target, over the next five years, is to provide 500,000 homes, prized as low as N1.8million, that will be affordable to Nigerians on low income, and whilst building those homes, we aim to provide about N1.5million jobs in the construction sector, and when you put those two together, you can see our relationship with what has happened today (Construction Artisans Awards).
‘’We are very keen to ensure that our investment in housing development for Nigerians with low income also translates to jobs for Nigerians on low income, so we are a heavy supporter of the Construction Artisans Awards, and we will deepen that relationship to ensure that we open up opportunities for apprenticeship to young Nigerians, to develop skills and entrepreneurship in the construction sector.
