The president of NIQS, Obafemi Onashile, stated this in Abuja at the opening ceremony of QSA maiden course titled: ‘Diploma Certification in Construction Arbitration’.

He disclosed that NIQS was striving for leadership position in the industry by enhancing the income generation capacities of its members as well as the institute. Onashile pointed out that QSA remained the most veritable tool to accomplish the income generation strategy, adding that the academy would focus on dispensing skills that would enhance the opportunity of members in the industry.

Onashile hinted that only participants tested and found satisfactory in the application of skills would earn the diploma certificate aside the certificate for attendance. Also speaking, the chief operating officer (COO) of QSA, Femi Balogun, encouraged the participants to form alumni of QSA Certified Construction Arbitrators (CCA) that would serve as a platform to bring about the desired change in the industry.

He described QSA as a collective vision of successive presidents of NIQS, who believed that training and continuous professional development were the core of any professional institute.
